Weekends are great!

Last weekend Rebecca came to see us. We've not seen her since Rick and Karen left town in June. It was good to catch up with her. Can you tell how glad Cole was to see her?

Yesterday (this weekend), Aunt Geneva, Tim, Thea, their kids, Rick, Karen and Rebecca all came over for a cook out. The kids had a blast playing on the Game Cube. They didn't dare to go outside since it was 100 degrees!

Poor Jeff had to keep going out into the heat to cook. We tried to make homemade ice cream, but the heat outside forced us to move the ice cream maker indoors. IT'S TOO HOT!

I think everyone had a good time visiting. Rick and Karen have been gone for about 6 weeks and are soon to leave for the East Coast. They think they may try to work their way up to Maine. Sounds like fun to me. Too bad I'm not retired!

Aunt Geneva came to Ooltewah to visit Tim and Thea. It was really good to see her. Jeff's missed her. You know she's his "mom", "aunt" and many other titles. She's very dear to his heart. I guess this shows us that we need to get to Louisiana more often, huh?
