The Smokies in the Fall

The second weekend in November, one of Jeff's clients offered us her condo in Gatlinburg. We gladly took her up on it!!! The tress were just past peak, but the colors were still beautiful!

We really didn't do much, no plans other than to RELAX!!! Jeff and I had visited the Arts and Crafts District about 10 years ago. We loved the pottery and woodworking. So, we decided to go back and take the boys. They really thought the craftsmen were "cool" or "sweet", as Cole says. LOL! I loved their fall pottery, but no enough to pay $80+ for a small bowl. Some things are just meant to be admired, not obtained, huh?
We also went to The Old Mill. It's located on the Little Pigeon River. the restaurant was WAY TOO FULL, so we opted to look around in the shops near by. The boys got to watch someone pulling homemade taffy. It was delicious!
We have to go back and visit when it is warmer. The boys wanted to ride go-carts, but it was COLD! Maybe spring break again next year...
