Thanksgiving 2007
As many of you know, Dad took a church in August of this year. This is his first time pastoring in over a decade. Because of that, I've seen my daddy come back to life. It's such a miracle! The church people have been so good to them!
With the new position came the opportunity to live in the parsonage that dad built, but left before completion. Isn't it beautiful? I'm so happy for them and this blessing they are receiving.

With the new position came the opportunity to live in the parsonage that dad built, but left before completion. Isn't it beautiful? I'm so happy for them and this blessing they are receiving. We had a great time! The house was perfect we were all able to stay under one roof and not be on top of each other. Which is quite an accomplishment when you consider there were 15 of us (and 5 of us are under the age of 6- YIKES!)

We arrived late Tuesday night before Thanksgiving. We walk in the door and Guy bee-lines it for his Pops who is sitting on the sofa. Cailey sees Guy sitting there, walks over climbs up on the sofa and begins to snuggle with him. HILARIOUS! She didn't know him from Adam! Can you tell she has an older brother who has all his friends over a lot? What a "guy's girl" she's going to be, huh? (No pun intended!)
The "little" boys had big fun playing with a miniature pool table Nana and Pops had bought for them to play with while in Louisiana. They enjoyed it, but I think they spent as much time arguing over who's turn it was, than they did playing. Oh, well! I guess that's children for ya!
Much of our time was spent cooking (as always), and tending to all the "sickies." We had a Bolt epidemic on our hands! Cailey was sick when we arrived, so Tammi and Casey kept having to run her into Shreveport to see the doctor. Angela was next to come down with it, and Mom had it, by the time we all left on weekend. Thank GOD most of my family didn't get it... just poor Jeff.
We did manage to get Cailey to dance for us in between her bouts with fever. After she started movin' and groovin', the whole family got into it. Check out Nana, Cole and Carter's break dancing!
We enjoyed lunch Thursday with most of the "Hicks" clan (Nana's family). In all we had 54 people for lunch. It was soooooo Yummy! As always when we get together, we had "church." Tory played her guitar and sang with Tonya and Bethany. Those gals have more talent in their little fingers than all of the musicians in Nashville. Look out world... Tory Kryen will be famous some day.

Pops got lots of grand kid time in. I hope didn't wear him out, too bad. I know he and Nana had to be EXHAUSTED after we left. Jeff has a saying though... It's not about fun, it's about family! I'm glad to say we had fun, too! And you can't convince me that Jeff didn't "eat up" the cuddle time he got from his nieces and nephews, huh?
