Christmas has come to Tennessee

I know it's not even Thanksgiving, yet~ I was in the Christmas mood. Besides, Angela, Tamara and their crew are all coming to my house for the holiday. We are going to have an early Christmas, since we can't be together in December. Mom called today and said she wanted to see the house and how it was decorated, so here it is Mom! Love ya and sorry we are not all together for the Thanksgiving. I promise to be better by Christmas, o.k.?

The boys have been "helping." I think they need a break, it looks like the scent of pine is getting to them. What do you think?

Gentlemen, start your engines!!!

Can you believe it! Jeff and the boys finished their cars this weekend. I think Jeff enjoyed it as much as the kids. WHAT A GREAT DAD!

Cole and Guy created their cars on their own. WOW! What an accomplishment. I think it took a lot for Jeff not to fix or correct them (being the perfectionist that he is~ God love him!) But, they did it! They look great don't they?

Boys and their toys...

Jeff bought Pinewood Derby kits for the boys and himself. They began working on them this weekend. The boys learned that sanding is not much fun, but it makes a nice mess! Guy has made 2 other cars in Cub Scouts, so he is the expert. Cole just thinks it's great that he's getting to make a car, too!

Trick or Treat

Our Halloween events were not that exciting this year. I had not yet been able to drive and really didn't feel like getting out. However, I was looking for any excuse to leave the house after a month of bed rest- YUCK!!! So, Jeff was kind enough to limit our Trick or Treating to the neighborhood and one of the church events.

Guy was Davey Crockett and Cole a horse. We didn't tell Cole that he wore that same costume when he was 3. He found it in a closet and thought it was great. I thought it was great that I didn't have to create another costume. (Thank God kids can't remember when they were little! LOL!)

Here are the boys and one of Guy's friends, Sammy, at the Wesley Methodist Trunk or Treat. Sammy is Mario. (Aren't they adorable? Don't tell them I said that! They think they look "cool!")

Happy Halloween~ now I can start thinking about Thanksgiving-YUM!
